- Review of Neerja · 4/5
Cast- Sonam Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Shekhar Ravjiani, Yogendra Tiku Director- Ram Madhvani Producer- Atul Kasbekar, Shanti Sivaram maini Writer- Saiwyn Quadras, Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh (dialogues) Music- Vishal Khurana Sonam Kapoor starrer much awaited movie ‘Neerja’ has been released today. The movie is directed by Ram Madhvani and Atul Kasbekar has jointly produced it with Shanti Sivaram Maini, Bling Unplugged and Fox Star Studios. It is an open secret that, the movie is based on the life of flight attendant ‘Neerja Bhanot’, who was shot dead by terrorists. Actress Sonam Kapoor is playing the lead role of ‘Neerja’ while, Shabana Azmi is portraying the character of ‘Neerja’s’ mother ,Rama Bhanot and Shekhar Ravjiani in the role of Jaideep as her love interest. The movie revolves around the actual hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73 in Karachi, Pakistan on 5th September 1986. It is all about the bravery of ‘Neerja Bhanot’ that, how she fought for the lives of her passengers. ‘Neerja’ was the senior flight purser on the ill-fated Pan Am Flight 73, which was flying from Mumbai to the USA and was hijacked by four armed men on 5th September 1986 at Karachi Airport in Pakistan. The aircraft was carrying 400 passengers and the terrorists wanted to redirect the plane, Israel and to crash into a building. Actress Sonam Kapoor did justice to the character of ‘Neerja’ and Shabana Azmi nails it in her role especially in the last scene. Some flaws are there in the movie such as, it is a little bit slow at some moments, but viewers can ignore it because the power packed acting of the stars and the powerful climax made this movie extraordinary. The movie is a mixture of bravery, emotions and the mother-daughter bond. Courage and on the same time emotions is what ‘Neerja’ is all about. It is a must watch movie, but keep your tissues with you because you will need them.

- Review of Kya Super Kool Hain Hum 3 · 1.5/5
“Kya Kool Hain Hum 3” is the sequel of the movie “Kya Kool Hain Hum and Kya Super Kool Hain Hum”. Released on 22 January, 2016 is sex-comedy film starring Tusshar Kapoor, Aftab Shivdashani and Mandana Karimi in lead roles. Directed by Umesh Ghadge and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. Kanhaiyya (Tusshar Kapoor) who is good for nothing is kicked out by his father PK Lele (Shakti Kapoor) from his house and business. After being kicked out, he and his friend Rocky (Aftab Shivdashani) goes to Thailand to earn a living. Mickey (Krishna Abhishek) offers them a job to work in porn films. Desperate to earn money they accept the job and start their porn star career, where they recreated popular Bollywood films as per their requirements. For example “Chennai Sexpress (Chennai Express), Lingam (Shingam), Lick (Kick) etc. along with other porn stars. Things go great till, Kainhaiyya meets Shalu (Mandana Karimi) and falls in love with her. He hides his true profession, so when Shalu’s father and her family comes to meet Kanhaiyya’s family, he decides to dress up his colleagues (other porn stars) as his family. But soon it becomes the comedy of errors and things started to messed up and their secret is revealed and calls off the wedding which makes Kanhaiyya to attempt to commit suicide. But he was saved by Mickey with an hot air balloon. Later Shalu’s father forgives him allow Kanhaiyya to marry his daughter and then Mickey decides to direct family drama movies. According to me this sex-comedy film that falls in sort of the funnies. The best thing is that our country is accepting the sex comedy films. This movie according to me is just a time pass movie if you want to entertain yourself then you should watch this movie. There is nothing new in this movie it’s a regular Bollywood commercial movie which don’t leave any impact in on a person’s head as other non-commercial. The film is like extension of Ekta Kapoor’s daily soaps with no head and tail of it. It is just a senseless movie if you want to laugh you actually can’t laugh because you can’t find any humour it which the film is trying to do. Its an average movie, if I have to rate it I will give it 2 out of five. If don’t have any work to do then you can watch it.

- Review of Saala Khadoos · 4/5
Salaa Khadoos in Hindi and Irudhi Suttru in Tamil, released on 29th January 2016, written and directed by Sudha Kongara. This film is shot both in Tamil and Hindi, the film features R. Madhavan in leading role and a newcomer Ritika Singh as a aspiring boxer. Adi Tomar (R. Madhavan) is rude and bitter because of his dream of winning gold medal for India in boxing was not fulfilled. His dream was thwarted by his coach Dev Khatri (Zakir) who spiked his gloves during all important match. Adi becomes the woman’s boxing coach, Dev and Adi can’t see each other one eye. Dev gets Adi framed in sexual harassment charges and gets him transferred to Chennai from Hisar, where he could not find any talent as Chennai is backward in terms of boxing. After a lot of hard work he come across a talented girl Madhi (Ritika Singh). Adi finds out about Madhi what is she capable of and trains her to make her a boxing champion. The journey was tough but Adi puts his heart, soul, sweat and everything to make Madhi a champion. Both Adi and Madhi are short tempered, Adi can’t hear any nonsense about boxing and Madhi. Then at last he succeed in making Madhi a champion. Salaa Khadoos according to me is a great movie and we see R. Madhavan completely in different role. We usually see him in comedy movies playing a comic role and we even find him very rare in romantic movies. In this movie he have played a role of tough angry man, and a boxer which is very new to him as well. Seeing R. Madhavan in different role and performing so well in that makes the audience say “paisa wasul movie tha”. Ritika Singh the Indian mixed martial artist gave her best in her first film. No one can say that it’s her debut film. A trained kickboxer who I guess probably knows about acting in films gives her best and it turned out to be great film. A low budget, not so promoted movie was liked by the audience and opened to positive reviews to the critics. According to me one should take out some time and watch this movie because it deserve one chance to be watched, I assure you it won’t let you down. If I have to rate it I will give it 4 out of 5.

- Review of Mastizaade · 1.5/5
Director- Milap Zaveri Cast- Sunny Leone, Tusshar Kapoor, Vir Das, Suresh Menon, Shaad Randhawa, Asrani, Ritesh Deshmukh (cameo) Finally, Sunny Leone’s ‘Mastizaade’ has been released, yes, you heard it right Sunny Leone’s ‘Mastizaade’ because it has full of Sunny, Sunny and Sunny. Story- Two sex addicts Sunny Kele (Tusshar Kapoor) and Aditya Chotia (Vir das) cannot get enough of it and join a rehabilitation center run by twin sisters Laila (Sunny) and Lily Lele (Sunny again). And later, Sunny and Aditya fall in love with Laila and Lily. But, the twists knock in their love stories, when Lily is engaged to be married to another man Desh Premi (Shaad Randhawa) and while Laila is horny for Sunny but, never say ‘I Love You’. Well, the movie doesn’t have anything tempting which attracts the viewers. Only, a Sunny Leone fan will attempt to watch this flick. Full of vulgarity and double meaning jokes is all about ‘Mastizaade’. No story, no acting and no good music only bad jokes and bad humor are there in this flick. The movie is full of sex jokes and the makers don’t even leave the animals as well for the sake of cheap jokes. The flick is unpleasant for women, gays, and handicapped people and to old people. At the end, if you love your money and if you are fond of good flicks then don’t go for ‘Mastizaade’.

- Review of Bajirao Mastani · 3.5/5
One of 2015’s best movies-Bajirao Mastani needs to be watched. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali brings to you a historical drama and gives you an insight into the life and times of Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao and his rise to power. The audience expects his films to be made on lavish sets, with elaborate props, wonderful screenplay, dialogue, beautiful cinematography, designer costumes, great action scenes and Bajirao Mastani again proves to be one of his grand signature movies. It is the love story of Peshwa Bajirao with the daughter of Maharaja Chhatrasal, Mastani who is trained skilfully in horse-riding, martial arts and spear throwing. Deepika Padukone plays the role of Mastani, the warrior’s love and second wife and the 30-year old actor portrays her role beautifully. She looks phenomenal and she has trained herself very well to handle the sword like a pro. She delivers fearlessly and has aced the role so masterfully that no one but Deepika could have done it. The role of Bajirao is played by Ranveer Singh and with that perfect Marathi accent we cannot but wonder if there could have been a better choice than Ranveer Singh with his shaved head and tuft. The act done by Ranveer is unbeatable and looking at it in hindsight it is impossible now to imagine anyone enact the same better. Ranveer was brilliant with his stellar performance and exuberant delivery. He has played a powerful role in the movie and surely Bajirao Mastani would prove to be a turning point in his career and assure him greater opportunities and success. Bajirao‘s first wife is Kashibai whose role is played by Priyanka Chopra. She serves her husband very diligently and loves him the most. Even when she finds out that Bajirao loves Mastani she does not leave him. She is angry, she sneers and does all she she can to get him back. Their marriage was fixed in their childhood. The undefeated warrior Bajirao was honoured with the title of Peshwa (Prime Minister) and fought his enemies valiantly to save his people. The moguls, his greatest enemies had attacked a fort and this is when Mastani, the princess of Bundelkhand comes to the warriors’ court in Pune seeking help to protect her kingdom and eventually falls in love with him. Bajirao goes against all odds, to marry Mastani even though his family is against their marriage and does not accept their relationship. The most important attraction of this movie is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s larger than life depiction of art work and huge sets. It is a visual treat not to be missed.

- Review of Wazir · 3/5
Wazir is a tale of two unlikely friends, a wheelchair-bound chess player and an ATS officer. Brought together by grief and a strange twist of fate, the two men decide to help each other win the biggest games of their lives. But there’s a mysterious, dangerous opponent lurking in the shadows, who is all set to checkmate them. Wazir is about revenge that brews for a long time. Farhan Akhtar and Amitabh Bachchan play the two characters that discover that they have a common enemy. Like all the thrillers, there are chases, shootouts and subtle hints dropped that build the mystery. Manav Kaul plays the villain of the piece supported by a brief but a powerful appearance by Neil Nitin Mukesh. Aditi Rao Hydari plays Farhan Akhtar’s silently suffering wife. Every twist and turn of the plot is explained in details. Wazir is about the coming together of two wounded men, very different in age and temperament, for a mutual purpose. Danish Ali (Farhan Akhtar) is recovering from a deeply personal tragedy and his wife Ruhana (Aditi Rao Hydari) is suffering too in her own solitary corner. He meets up with the wheelchair-bound Omkarnath Dhar (Amitabh Bachchan), and gets sucked into the latter’s world, which is full of light and darkness, the contradictions arising from a painful past loss, and a present trying to come to terms with it. Farhan Akhtar is excellent as the anti-terrorist officer who uses both brain and brawn to tackle the mystery which lurks in the heart of the film, and Amitabh Bachchan shows us, in a couple of beautifully realized scenes in which he dispenses all mannered flourish, the skill sets he still possesses. The plot twists, and with it comes a menacing figure called Wazir, trailing blood, horror and death. The plot of the film is smart because it uses an actual chess board to tell us how to make moves. Manav Kaul’s power-hungry politician plays someone he is not pleasing with economy. Wazir is the fact that the mystery itself is thin, illogical and predictable. It’s a pity because Wazir’s lead performances, its glassy cinematography, its haunting sound design, work well. What this game needed was more attack, less defensive, less repetition, more relentlessness. It is a suspense drama. For long, Bollywood has not seen a thrilling suspense drama and the drought could well end up with Wazir. The film provides with an edge of the seat suspense drama that will keep you guessing.

- Review of Jai Tulunadu · 4/5
Movie is very good and Avinash has performed really well, songs are melodious , story is good. From a critics point of view I would like say sister's and heroine's role should have been interchanged as sister looks pretty and acted better than heroine. For a action oriented movie comedy was not necessary or I must say comedy scenes were interrupting the action. Even the camera man does not look comfortable while shooting the comedy scenes. The comedian Mr. Bolar , like in his other movies displays his teeth more than what is required. The romance by the villain could have been avoided by giving that song to Avinash by shifting the role of sister to 2nd heroine or sister loving the son of the villain. At the climax Avinash should have been given more action. Avinash is the live wire in the movie and overall I liked the movie very much barring comedy and villain's romance. Costumes would have been better if the hero were to offer more sober costumes. I look forward for more success for Avinash in near future!

Don't remember when I watched such a shit of a 'film' last time. In fact It'd be an understatement to call it a bad film. It's not a film in the first place. Such a garbage. So atrocious. So abominable. Feeling bad. Feeling cheated. Has this crap been made by the maker of 36 Chowringhee Lane ? Difficult to digest. One thing is for sure, I'll think 10 times before I go to watch an Aparna Sen film in future.

- Review of Arshinagar · 1.5/5
Refund Er Option Chai, Refund Er Option Chai Eti Baaje Movie Na Baaje Natok, Ektu Bujhie Dao Toh Bhai Somebody please tell me that there is a new Aparna Sen in Tollywood and she made this movie because the Aparna Sen I know of, can’t even consider creating such a film. The flick is just called a revision of Romeo-Juliet, but the key ration of the movie is centred at a favela where both Hindu and Muslim breathed happily and then things started getting immoral because as always Hindus and Muslims can’t live happily together in a same abode without conveying up their religion. The main plot is a big let-down and the romantic moments are too less portrayed to help the movie survive. I don’t know why Aparna Sen wanted to make the movie like a play because it goes terribly wrong. The rhythmic dialogues are exasperating and makes the total backdrop even shoddier. The picture is 20% Romance [5% Good Romance + 15 % NO BODY EVEN CARES Romance] + 80% Violence. I’m okay with the ferocity shown but the way it is being depicted is pure inanity and undeniably dull to watch in 2015 at least. Cast – This movie made Dev and Rittika feel like a poor man’s Romeo and Juliet and it’s not their fault because they literally had less screen time than the other side characters. The few scenes which they were in, were made so lacklustre that you don’t even care about their affection. Jisshu u Sengupta – Yes that’s how we writes his name now. His character in Arshinagar is almost similar to his character in Rajkahini, and it’s quite okay. He is Muslim and a gang leader of the Muslim group. Kaushik Sen and Waheeda Rahmen acted their best in the entire cast. Music – The opening music, ‘Barir Kachey Arshinagar’ is a classic song and portrayed in that way and the only good song according to my opinion. Most of the songs are written like some jatra pala or theatre is going on and is completely terrible. Story – Bleh. Direction – WORST DIRECTION BY APARNA SEN till date, easily. Watch the movie and you’ll know why. Finally, I’m just heartbroken! The trailers were abysmal and I kept engrained for some time expecting the movie will take over with some refinement, but I just got trolled badly. If this movie was made by some other director, I wouldn’t have censured it like this, but it’s Aparna Sen and she has done terrible wrong with this. 1.5/5 Barely!
