Celebrity Advertising Shoots

A celebrity in front of the camera for your advertising.

An advertising shoot brings a celebrity into a photography or video production for use in your advertising. The concept, shoot days, crew arrangements and the places where the finished material may run all need to be agreed. FilmySphere coordinates the celebrity side and the planning with your production team.

When this fits.

  • A television, cinema or online film that features a celebrity.
  • A photo shoot for print, hoardings, packaging or catalogues.
  • Short digital video ads for social platforms and your website.
  • A shoot that produces material for both advertising and later social media use.

What can be included.

  • Celebrity participation on agreed shoot days, with timings, location and travel arrangements confirmed.
  • Coordination between your agency or production team and the celebrity side on concept, wardrobe and schedule.
  • Written approvals for the concept, the script or storyboard and the final selection of material.
  • A defined list of advertising uses, territories and duration for the finished work.
  • Clarity on what is included, such as number of looks, shoot hours and retakes, and what is extra.

Scope is subject to agreement and to the availability of the celebrity concerned. Not every celebrity offers every activity.

Planning considerations.

  • Production: confirm who produces the shoot, since the celebrity's participation is only one part of a full production.
  • Concept approval: the celebrity side will usually want to approve the concept and the final images or footage.
  • Shoot logistics: dates, location, travel, security and working hours all depend on availability and agreement.
  • Usage scope: print, outdoor, television and digital can be priced and approved separately, so list them early.
  • Edits: agree whether the material may be cut down, retouched or adapted for other formats.

How advertising shoots are run.

  1. Step 1

    Outline the shoot

Describe the concept, the formats you need, the location and your preferred shoot window.

  2. Step 2

    Confirm the celebrity side

We approach the shortlisted celebrities and report back on interest, availability and terms.

  3. Step 3

    Agree the plan

Shoot days, approvals, usage scope and fees are set out in a proposal for you to accept.

  4. Step 4

    Prepare the production

Schedules, wardrobe, travel and any on-set requirements are coordinated with your production team.

  5. Step 5

    Shoot and sign off

The shoot takes place, material is reviewed and approved, and final files are released for the agreed uses.

Questions about advertising shoots.

Do you produce the advertisement?

Our role is to coordinate the celebrity's participation and the planning around it. If you already work with an agency or production house, we work alongside them.

How many shoot days are needed?

It depends on the concept and the formats. Many shoots fit in a day or less, but this is agreed with the celebrity side once the plan is clear.

Can the images be used on hoardings and television too?

Only for the uses written into the agreement. Each medium, territory and duration is listed so that nothing is assumed.

What if the celebrity's schedule changes?

Shoot dates are subject to availability. If a date moves, we coordinate a new one, and the agreement sets out what happens if no date can be found.
