Celebrity Product Launches

A celebrity to unveil your new product.

A product launch with a celebrity centres on the unveiling and the content around it. That can include a launch event, a short film, social posts and press moments, each agreed separately. FilmySphere coordinates the celebrity side with your launch plan so that dates and messages line up.

When this fits.

  • A new consumer product, from packaged goods to electronics, entering the market.
  • A new variant, edition or range from an established brand.
  • A service, app or programme that is being introduced to the public.
  • A launch that combines a live event with online content.

What can be included.

  • Participation in the unveiling, at an event or recorded for release, as agreed.
  • Launch content such as a short video or photographs, with the channels and period of use written down.
  • Optional supporting activities, for example social posts or press interaction, as agreed and subject to availability.
  • A launch timeline that fixes the unveiling date, the content release dates and any embargo.
  • A clear note on what is not included, to avoid assumptions on either side.

Scope is subject to agreement and to the availability of the celebrity concerned. Not every celebrity offers every activity.

Planning considerations.

  • Confidentiality: product details and the launch date may need to stay confidential until release, and that is agreed in advance.
  • Product access: the celebrity side may want to see or try the product before agreeing to be associated with it.
  • Sequencing: the unveiling, the content and the advertising all depend on each other, so dates should be fixed together.
  • Claims: statements about the product must be accurate and approved by you.
  • Availability: launch dates are often fixed by the business, so ask early to see who can fit.

How product launches are run.

  1. Step 1

    Outline the launch

Tell us the product, the launch date, the audience and which activities you have in mind.

  2. Step 2

    Approach and confirm interest

We approach suitable celebrities, under any confidentiality terms you set, and report back.

  3. Step 3

    Agree the package

Activities, timeline, embargo, usage and fees are set out in a proposal for you to accept.

  4. Step 4

    Prepare the launch

Content production, event details and release schedules are coordinated across the teams.

  5. Step 5

    Launch and review

The unveiling takes place and content is released as agreed, followed by a short review of what was delivered.

Questions about product launches.

Can the celebrity see the product first?

That is often a sensible step. How and when it happens, and under what confidentiality terms, is agreed before the association is confirmed.

Does the celebrity have to attend a live event?

Not necessarily. Participation can be at an event or in recorded content, depending on what is agreed and what the celebrity offers.

Can we keep the launch date confidential?

Yes, you can ask for confidentiality. It is written into the agreement and applies to everyone involved.

Is the content for launch day only?

The agreement says how long and where the content may be used, which may extend beyond launch day if both sides agree.
