Dhananjaya Now, in and as, Allama

Actor Dhananjaya, who is now waiting for the release of Raate, and currently shooting Boxer and Vijayaaditya, has also signed up for another historical biopic on 12th century Karnataka's mystic saint and a Vachana poet, Allama Prabhu. Off late, historical epics are increasing in Kannada cinema, with Sangolli Rayanna breaking box office records. However, Allama is more of a biopic that shows the lifetime of Allama Prabhu, as enacted by Dhananjaya, and will be directed by T. S. Nagabharana. Nagabharana had earlier directed movies such as Santa Shishunala Sharifa, Mysore Mallige, and Nagamandala. Flutist Bapu Padmanabh will be directing music for the first time with Allama. Industrialist Hari Khoday will be producing Allama on the lines of producing Nagabharana's earlier three movies.
