Govt. Spends INR 1.16 Cr for the Treatment of Ambareesh

Congress MP and Rebel Star Ambareesh was hospitalized in Singapore some days back owing to a respiratory ailment, after his condition turned quite serious. He was airlifted from Vikram Hospital of Bangalore to a hospital based in Singapore for advanced treatment. Ambarish had himself quoted that he would bear the expenses personally, but according to the law that enables Ministers for medical reimbursement from the Government, the State Government has borne the complete expenses of INR 1,16,90,137 of the treatment. Parties have begun to debate if such an expense would not be a burden on the exchequer.
