Sandalwood Expectations On Central Budget

The Central Government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all ready to unleash its budget plan for the year after Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda proposed the Railway Budget. While many sections are said to be benefitting from this budget, a few sections are also hoping for long awaited reforms in this regard. One such section includes our Sandalwood aka Kannada Film Industry, where the celebrities expressed their concerns about what to expect. Actor-director Sudeep cited about the exorbitant taxes imposed on importing technical equipment from abroad. Director Yograj Bhat spoke of subsidies for shooting movies abroad, and actress Ragini Dwivedi mentioned her concern about the high tax rates on the actors’ remuneration spurring an increase in the list of defaulters.
