Ugramm on Encore!

Ugramm released earlier this year as Sri Murali's most expected project of recent years. The first day of Ugramm's Premiere proved that it is a galloping horse that is bound to run for a 100 more days unstopped. Sri Murali emerged like phoenix with Ugramm's success and the movie created waves in its making and the records it broke. Sri Murali's fans were thrilled to see their hero in a new avatar, donning a new look and mannerism, which appealed to both mass and class audience.

Despite all the brouhaha, the man behind this incredible story, Prashanth Neel, the director, remained at his humble best and savoured the success silently. A tough journey indeed, Ugramm has its share of struggle stories that built up to its success today. There were several reworks and reshoots in the course, for which the artists too had to work extremely hard to bring it out in its current form. Ugramm recently celebrated its unbeaten 100 day sprint which bears prime witness to the hard work the cast and crew have put in. However, the fans can rejoice to another sweet news from the director himself! Ugramm is coming again but with a sequel. The title is reportedly named as 'Ugramm Veeram', adapted from the title song of the former. Prashanth Neel, overwhelmed by the response he received from the audience and fans along with a pushing demand for a sequel from the fans themselves, has finally decided to surrender to the call of Sri Murali's fans and gift them with 'Ugramm 2'.

So far, the dates have not been confirmed and Prashanth Neel is busy planning his next movie, and after that with Puneeth Rajkumar. Once these two projects are done, the work for Ugramm 2 should resume. Ugramm emerged as a super hit in 2014 and redefined Sri Murali's image. Ugramm 2 hopes to reinforce this popularity by treating his fans with more to expect and enjoy. Let's hope for another blockbuster from director-producer Prashanth Neel and wish him luck to rock the screens again!
