Hotel Gold Finch, on Saturday evening, was brimming with the aroma of Oggarane, Prakash Raj's latest trilingual directorial in Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu. The Press Meet was hosted by the director himself, amidst the companies of his good friends and actors that had B Suresha, Sudha Belavadi, and Samyuktha Hornad among presspersons.
Oggarane is slated to be releasing this Friday, the 6th June, 2014, in all 3 languages. After purchasing the remake rights of Malayalam's Salt n Pepper, Prakash Raj is hopeful of a class entertainer that is sure to attract the family audience. He is ready with his craft to be unleashed soon spewing its aroma of love and care, joy and affection, romance, and a little hatred, and some emotions for taste, as he says. Oggarane is mainly about rediscovering these feelings among the characters, at different stages of their lives. Prakash Raj and Sneha play single adults discovering love at the middle stages of their lives and Tejus and Samyuktha, a younger couple, too discover love for the first time. As Prakash Raj himself quotes, food and love are two of the most beautiful things to have happened to mankind.
Prakash Raj looked his best on the press meet and patiently answered all questions the media persons asked. His humble demeanor, added with a clever tinge of humour, kept the crowd entertained and smiling. Actress Samyuktha Hornad quoted that the whole experience of shooting Oggarane felt like the joy of just having had a scrumptious meal. Prakash Raj mentioned about the casting of co-actors specific for each language was meant to be apt for the regional base and has been suitably dealt with, with Achyuth Kumar and Mandya Ramesh in Kannada, MS Narayana and Brahmanandam in Telugu, and Thambi Ramaiah and Kumaravel in Tamil.
Oggarane/Un Samayal Arayil/Ulavacharu Biryani is about celebrating love; it is about the joy of sharing it with your special ones. Prakash Raj plays a single archaeologist in his 40s wherein romance sparks in his life. The film's cast includes Prakash Raj, Sneha, Urvashi, Tejus, and Samyuktha Hornad playing pivotal roles. Ilaiyaraja's music is never aging and appeals to any music lover. All the lyrics have been penned by Jayant Kaikini, along with suggesting the title for Oggarane. Prakash Raj has written the screenplay along with suitably moulding all three versions of the film in view of the lingustic melange. Various TV and press media, along with social media promoters including Kannada Movies, FilmySphere, and Nam Cinema were present at the venue. He appreciated the promotional efforts of social media partners and expressed that he saw every tweet and every post on his wall.
